Citizenship and Naturalization

Permanent residents may apply for citizenship after a precribed amount of time providing they have good moral character and can pass the English and Civics test. There are exceptions and special considerations before you can apply for your citizenship. I provide consultation prior to applying, to determine eligibility and prepare the complete application package. I attend all USCIS interviews with my clients.

Removal Defense

If you are in removal (formerly known as deportation) proceedings or your family member is being detained either in a County Jail with an ICE hold or in the Northwest Detention Center, in Tacoma Washington, please contact my office to discuss available remedies to you under the law. Examples of applications that could be filed once in removal proceedings:

  • Cancellation of Removal
  • Political Asylum
  • Adjustment of Status

Appeals of Immigration Decisions

I represent clients who wish to appeal when they have been denied a visa, have been found inadmissable, or when they would like to appeal a decision by the Immigration Judge, or Board of Immigration Appeals.

  • Motions to Reopen and Reconsider
  • BIA appeals
  • Petitions for Review in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
